Perched on a ridge overlooking the Pacific at Fort Ross, Hirsch Vineyards is the birth ground of great Pinot Noir on the extreme Sonoma Coast. Our wines are estate-grown and vinified in the midst of the wilderness, on the edge of the sea and deep in the redwood forest.

The eternal grinding of plates along the San Andreas Fault shaped our mountaintop ranch. Our soils are innumerable, our winters marked by tempests, and our summers cool. In response to—and in spite of—this, we farm our 72 acres of vines Biodynamically and regeneratively.

Led by the undaunted daughter of a beatnik and Buddhist, we collectively choose not to fight the elements, but rather accept them for all of their fierce vagaries. Our responsibility is to listen and be ready when the terroir shows itself.
